Waiotemarama stream community tree planting

Together with the landowners we are going to plant the lower 4kms of the Waiotemarama Stream all the way to the Waimamaku River, making a significant step towards improving this waterway.  It has already been fenced and the site prep is starting in June to get it ready for planting.  There will be over 8000 plants to go in the ground so we are looking for as many volunteers as possible to help us with this mahi!  The site is easy to access and is highly visible which means that over the years that follow the results of this work will be clear to see
